Most recently, I led design on a community-oriented, online learning experience.

Slang is an English learning platform that empowers professionals by enabling access to knowledge and development through in-app lessons and live online classes. I led the design on integrating the Online Classes experience into the existing platform, replacing logistical hassles with a delightful experience.

Role

As lead designer, I led research and discovery, prototyping, visual design, and user testing. I worked alongside a PM and our CTO, who led the development.

Objective

Our primary objective was to streamline logistics by allowing users to view their schedule and access classes directly within the app. Simultaneously, our business objective aimed to boost attendance rates, providing clear ROI for our clients.

Outcome

Since launch, attendance rates have increased from 20% to 78%.

The manual coordination process was error-prone and costly, and after recognizing that existing event management software couldn't address our unique requirements, we set out to build our own. I led the design for this event management platform.
